" I LIKE IKE " ??

In the Fifties, before most of you were born, the Presidential Slogan for General Eisenhower, head of SHAEF in WWII, was his nick name, "IKE." - "I LIKE IKE!" was seen on lapel buttons, bumper stickers, and other places. Ultimately, General Eisenhower became,

"PRESIDENT EISENHOWER."

In September of 2008, some 50 years after GENERAL Eisenhower became PRESIDENT Eisenhower, the nick name IKE was assigned to one of a series of three huricanes, IKE being the strongest and the last of the three coming in. The CARNAGE, (deaths,) in Haiti, Cuba and the USA was severe. FLOODING became almost as much a problem as the wind associated with a hurricane. As GRISLY as the picture on the right is, MANY CASKETS were literally "floated" from their resting spots and moved around Cemetaries.
I have been to New Orleans on several occasions, one in late 1960 when I just missed being involved in another hurricane. NEW ORLEANS IS A LITERAL BOWL, with the Gulf on one side and Lake Ponchetrain, (sp,) on the other. When the "bowl" fills, then spills over, things like these caskets begin to float!
POINT: The people IN those caskets, and the people killed in the three hurricanes
are already judged. The SURVIVORS of these storms NEED OUR PRAYERS!
Those who have LOST loved ones are saddened, those without food, shelter, and clothing need not only our prayers they NEED our HELP!
Pick out YOUR favorite charitable organization, one you TRUST, and insure that the will of God is done! PRAY WITHOUT CEASING as the Great Apostle Paul said. MORE storms are coming. Let us do our all to insure Prayer goes to God AND your
contributions arrive in time to do some GOOD!
In HIS name, I PRAY!
